
Constance Marie Lopez (born September 9th, 1965)[1] is an American actress from the United States. Her roles include Angie Lopez in George Lopez (2002-2007) and Marcela Quintanilla as the mother of Selena, in Selena (1997). She was Regina Vasquez on the ABC Family/Freeform drama program Switched at Birth (2011-17). She is currently in Camila Diaz in the lead character in the Amazon Prime Video drama series Undone (1999). Marie began her acting career in her teens. Salsa, 1988, was her debut film. Other credits in film and television include Early Edition and Dirty Dancing, Selena and Spin City and Ally McBeal. Marie was selected for the role as Angie Lopez in ABC's comedy series George Lopez. Marie was the lead in 2001's comedy-drama Tortilla Soup, alongside Jacqueline Obradors and Hector Elizondo. Also, she appeared on the PBS drama series American Family. In the month of October, 2007, she introduced her own line of clothing "The Constance Marie Collection". The actress also appeared in an ad campaign for PETA that year encouraging pet owners to spay and neuter their animals. [3] Marie was the lead character in Switched at Birth on ABC Family/Freeform for the period from 2011 to 2017. She played Regina Vasquez (the birth mother of one child and the legal mother of another).
