sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946 as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He is the older son of Francesco "Frank" Stallone Jr. is who is an Italian hairdresser, as well being Jackie Stallone Sr., an astrologer/dancer. Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Because of the complications that occurred during the birth of his daughter, Sylvester's lower left side became paralyzed. This gave him the famed "snarling", slurred speech and distinctive appearance. Due to the tense relationships between his parents, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. The couple later divorced. Stallone took classes in drama at American College in Switzerland, prior to moving to the University of Miami. Stallone quit school to explore acting in New York City.
