LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely considered one of the greatest athletes of all time. He has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James has been awarded four NBA championships four NBA MVP awards four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the holder of having the top score of points in the post-season, second best overall career score and 7th the most assists in his career. He was named as an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He was also selected for the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He's played in ten NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between the years of 2011 and 2018. James was selected to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. James became the first NBA player with 10,000 points, rebound and assist in 2022. James played basketball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School close to his home in Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped up by the media. He was a top pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the top pick in the NBA draft in 2003. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year he soon established himself as one of the top league players, winning the NBA MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent after failing to achieve the title with Cleveland. The announcement of his departure was broadcast on The Decision.
